Edge News

Microsoft Edge is a browser used on desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. It was first released with Windows 10 and Xbox One in 2015 and has since completely replaced Internet Explorer.

Edge got its name because it was originally based on EdgeHTML. When websites weren’t rending properly, Microsoft changed Edge to use the blink browser engine, but the Edge name remained. The blink engine means it is now a Chromium-based browser and compatible with Chrome extensions.

Here you can find articles for the Edge Stable channel, the Edge Beta channel, the Edge Dev channel, and the Edge Canary channel, so you can keep up to date with all the latest releases.
