Being a power tripper as a human being is not a good thing. It is somebody who feels like they need to have more power all the time because they feel like it somehow makes them happier. That kind of person is very displeasing to be around.

When it comes to operating systems on the other hand things are different. It is entirely reasonable to want to have more power over the operating system because there are practical reasons for that. For instance, you can choose what to install and what to uninstall on the Samsung Galaxy A5 smartphone if you have the most power over the operating system as possible. That kind of authority is what you get when you root the device.

There can be a few ways to get root access on the Samsung Galaxy smartphones, and the way you choose is often just whatever you find available. We aim to change that in the future by offering each unique way and making all of those ways visible to you when you click one of our guides. The guide here uses Chainfire’s SuperSU which is the way that requires for you to have a custom recovery installed. The other ways which involve using one-click rooting tools do not require a custom recovery image to be installed on the device first, and that might be something to think about if you wanted to keep the stock recovery.

Download SuperSU

  • Download the SuperSU app by Chainfire that roots the device.

The custom recovery image is what has given you the chance to start installing the ROMs. You can check out the ROMs available from XDA-Developers and flash them manually yourself through the custom recovery image without having root access. There is not a front page of the Google Play Store that gives you a list of the trending applications that require root access like there is for the official apps that you can install.

The good news is that we have an extensive list of the best root applications that you can install on the Android operating system. You can read up on the one’s that you want tp try and then click the download links that are available on the same page to find out how to install them.
