Site Navigation/Overview

When I analyzed porn.com, the homepage had category thumbnails which are indicative of a porn search engine and not a tube site. I clicked through to the category landing pages and then to the single post pages with the videos, and the videos loaded on other domains that were not porn.com. Though porn.com is a porn search engine, it called itself a porn tube site in its search engine meta description. I recommend always being honest, especially with categorizing your site, because it helps add trust and you want to avoid being labeled an untrustworthy site. I liked the features of the video thumbnails on the category landing pages, which included clickable internal links for the networks the videos came from. I recommend making it clear that the network links are distinguished links compared to the rest of the thumbnail to ensure you get the maximum click-through rate on those internal links otherwise many people won’t realize that they’re separate links. Porn.com had small to medium video thumbnails on the homepage while still having wide borders on the sides outside of the page wrap. I recommend making the thumbnails bigger so users can easily see the pictures inside them by widening the pagewrap which will allow the same number of thumbnails to still fit in. When I clicked on the thumbnails on the category landing pages, they opened the videos on other domains. Thus, I classify porn.com as a porn search engine. After I had clicked on a link and the outbound link loaded, I could vote with a thumbs up or down on the porn.com thumbnail. Porn.com would then use my vote to help aggregate its content in order of most popular to least popular. 3/7/2025
