SucuriSucuri (sucuri.net) is an online malware-scanner owned by GoDaddy. You can also use Sucuri to monitor your website, add a website firewall, and as a malware removal tool.

Sucuri offers several paid services including a website security platform, website firewall, and malware removal. It also has a free online malware-checking tool that scans domains to see if they are hacked/compromised or malicious. Sucuri has partnerships with numerous security vendors that will scan the domain and return results regarding the domain’s blacklist status, i.e., if a security vendor has chosen to blacklist a domain because it thinks it is malicious, it shows up in the scan results. If your site has been blacklisted by one of Sucuri’s partnered security vendors, you can pay Sucuri to have them remove the malicious code and take all the steps required to have your site removed from the blocklist.

Sucuri is a partner of several big-name web hosting companies. Though Sucuri may be an affiliate of such web hosts, those web hosts are using Sucuri because they believe in it. Two web hosting companies that I know using Sucuri are InMotion Hosting and LiquidWeb.

We use Sucuri’s online malware scanner for analyzing the web for security threats.
