What Is XVideos?

XVideos (xvideos.com) is a porn tube site. It is the most trafficked porn tube site in the world. The next highest is Pornhub. XVideos was founded by Stephane Michael Pacaud and is owned by WGCZ Holding. As of December 2022, the site xvideos.com gets an estimated 3.1 billion monthly views, according to SimilarWeb. The Wayback Machine estimates that xvideos.com to be founded on March 3, 2000.

Is XVideos Safe?

I analyzed xvideos.com for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam. Here are the results:

I checked the site xvideos.com on an online malware scanner Sucuri and it returned with no issues. No malware was found and the site is not blacklisted by any security vendors. You can see the same here: Sucuri scan for the site XVideos.com.

Some minor improvements can be made such as adding a website firewall to the domain and fixing the missing security headers. Adding a firewall would prevent website hacks and DDoS attacks. And there are numerous missing security headers:

  • Missing security header for ClickJacking Protection. Alternatively, you can use Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors 'none'. Affected pages:
    https://www.xvideos.com/404javascript.js
    https://www.xvideos.com/404testpage4525d2fdc
  • Missing security header to prevent Content Type sniffing.
  • Missing Strict-Transport-Security security header.
  • Missing Content-Security-Policy directive. We recommend to add the following CSP directives (you can use default-src if all values are the same): script-src, object-src, base-uri, frame-src. Affected pages:
    https://www.xvideos.com/404javascript.js
    https://www.xvideos.com/404testpage4525d2fdc
  • The ‘unsafe-inline‘ keyword in Content-Security-Policy is not recommended. Consider using unsafe-hashes or nonces instead.

However, these hardening improvements don’t impact the Sucuri grade.

To check this further I ran a parasite scan with Unmask Parasites on the site xvideos.com and it says the page is clean. You can see the same here: Unmask Parasites scan for the site XVideos.com.

Lastly, I ran a malware scan with VirusTotal on the domain xvideos.com. The scan detected at least nine files communicating with the domain and no security vendor listed the site as malicious. You can see the same here: VirusTotal scan for the site XVideos.com.

In conclusion, xvideos.com is a low security risk. No malware was found during our tests and the site has not been blacklisted by any security vendor. We have no problems recommending this site. Overall grade: Safe.
