XVideos (xvideos.com) is a porn tube site. XVideos is the most trafficked porn tube site in the world. The second most popular, Pornhub, has similar content in that many videos may be shorter clips taken from premium videos found on networks such as Brazzers. XVideos was founded by Stephane Michael Pacaud and is owned by WGCZ Holding. In 2023, XVideos used the Traffic Factory network for its advertising.

DESCRIPTION

The homepage of xvideos.com had 11 rows of video thumbnails and 5 thumbnails per row. The page wrap was quite wide but still had some borders on the side. Notably, I didn’t feel I needed to zoom in at all on my laptop whereas the older version of the site I did. The video thumbnails were medium to large and what I would call the ideal size. Each thumbnail had the video’s title beneath it, the username of the uploader, and the time in minutes the video goes for. The top right corner of the thumbnail had a red icon if the video was in HD but instead of just saying HD, it would say the exact resolution, i.e., 1080p or 1440p. When I clicked on the video thumbnails on the homepage, it opened the video’s single post page. Interestingly, many of the videos had watermarks from other networks which I wouldn’t have expected from the largest porn tube sites. However, it does make sense because the watermarks are often from premium porn sites which means all porn sites use these watermarked versions.

As of December 2023, xvideos.com has 2.751 billion monthly views (3.1 billion Dec 2022), according to Similar Web. The Wayback Machine estimates that xvideos.com was founded on March 3, 2000. The Internet Archive has saved xvideos.com 101,062 times between March 3, 2000 and October 20, 2023. Wayback Machine data shows xvideos.com gained popularity during 2007 and 2009 and has remained extremely popular to save since.
