The Android operating system comes with a new security feature built in ever since Android 5.1 (Lollipop) called Factory Reset Protection (FRP).
As soon as you set up a Google account on the device, the FRP gets activated. This means that whenever you factory reset your device, you can’t use it again until you log in to the Google account. The idea here is to prevent people who don’t own the device from being able to get access to it without the owner knowing about it and for the device to remain secure at all times, even when you’re not using the operating system.
There are some obvious caveats to FRP: if you aren’t able to get access to your Google account, then you will be locked out of your own device. If you ever need to get around that issue, you can use a tool that allows you to remove the FRP bypass.
Google doesn’t develop the tools that allow you to get around FRP. Google prefers people doing everything they can to sign in to the Google account that is associated with the phone rather than giving people a tool that bypasses FRP. Otherwise, it would make the security feature rather pointless as soon as people find out that tools to bypass it exist. According to Samsung, it is advised that people remove the Google account from the device before taking a factory reset. That way you won’t get locked out of your device. The problem for some people who have not removed the Google account is that they can’t remember the email associated with the Google account and guessing becomes impossible. Without knowing the email associated with the account, they can’t reset the password, and thus they become stuck.
The GSM Flasher FRP Reactivation Lock Remover Pro is a third-party application developed by Ray marm Aung that allows you to remove the FRP on Samsung devices.

Very difficult to remember my Google account details when I have several accounts. It is not possible to reset your own password unless you can get into the email account itself which for many people is not possible either.

I think Android is going to have to come up with a better security solution. You can’t just be locking people out of their own devices just because they can’t remember how to get into their Google email accounts. I have had issues before where I created several different emails and I knew I assigned an email I didn’t use very often to one of my Google Plus accounts. For years I was not able to get into that account and there were pictures of me in Google search results that I hated just sitting there that I couldn’t do anything about. Google is so arrogant that there is no way to get in contact with them about anything. I ended up finding a way around it by reporting the page as a fake that someone else had created. They do offer an option for this. Unluckily for me only a few months later Google closed down Google Plus.
These third party tools are great but only until the bad guys find out about them and then they will make Factory Reset Protection useless. The only solution is for Google to offer better service so people can get back into their accounts or offer another way into the device that doesn’t require an account at all but perhaps does require another security code before the user can get in.
