I prefer Zillow to Redfin.com and Realtor.com when looking up median home prices for places around the US such as Manhattan Beach. I prefer Zillow's charts to the others, though I am open-minded to Redfin and Realtor potentially having better information. I am not sure which site gives the most accurate data, but I can tell you that the data between sites is often different. For Manhattan Beach (California), Zillow shows a chart that has trended up and currently sits above 3 million for the median price. Redfin has shown stagnation since 2020 and a median price of closer to 2.5 million. I assume Zillow to be correct since we have had nothing but inflation since 2020. House prices never came down and could easily go up in rich places like Manhattan Beach because the rich pay with cash and are getting more money back on their savings with the high interest rates.

Zillow.com shows the list price whereas other sites like realtor.com show the list and sold prices. The list prices have trended up since 2020; however, the sold prices have stagnated. There is a large discrepancy between list prices and sold prices at the moment.
