DESCRIPTION

I thought nhentai.net was a very good site with well-thought-out features. For instance, when I first visited the homepage, I thought that the page wrap was too narrow. However, when I started reading a manga magazine, all of a sudden it made sense to me why it had the page wrap that it did: it was the right width for the manga pages. If it were any larger on the single post, the manga images would have been too large. One feature I liked while on nhentai.net was that I could click through to the next page of the manga magazine. Often I have to scroll down the page, which isn’t a bad experience necessarily, but scrolling requires more effort than clicking. I also prefer saving my mouse scroller wheel compared to a click, so I would click instead of scroll when I’m given the chance in a situation such as this. But in general, I’m aware that some people prefer to scroll instead of click, so it’s a personal choice. But for me, the way nhentai.net chose to lay out the content worked well. Presumably, each page results in a new webpage being viewed, which would make it seem like it has a great click-through rate every time one reads a manga comic cover to cover. I don’t think that would be spammy if it were laid out that way. If all you do is have your viewers scrolling down the page, it’s a missed opportunity in this instance in my opinion. But it wouldn’t necessarily result in negative SEO if you made people scroll because time on site is also an important metric and if they are scrolling, they are spending good minutes on your domain.
