DESCRIPTION
Above the fold was a large image of a modern home in the background. In front of it was a text that said “Find a home in a neighborhood you love” above a search box. The search box had three options I could select from the left side of it: for sale, for rent, sold. I noticed the option “sold” was unique to this niche. There was no default location preselected for me in the search box, but there was default semi-translucent text found within it already that hinted at the types of terms I should type: place, neighborhood, school, or agent. I also thought it was original of homes.com to offer the chance to browse by agent. I clicked on these two original options (sold and agent). When I selected sold, the search box remained the same, as did the page. There was no way for me to manually browse for agents without knowing their names, i.e., I had to type the name of an agent and then search for them. Beneath the pictured background was an informational section that said I could join 100 million other buyers, explore great neighborhoods, find highly rated schools, discover condos, and find the best agent for you.
