Above the fold featured a very large search box with the text above it reading “Discover Your New Home Helping 100 million renters find their perfect fit.” It was here that I could tell apartments.com was mostly if not entirely for renting homes rather than buying/mortgaging them, which is a unique feature for a site in itself. Most houses are bought rather than rented so most real estate sites focus on buying and not renting. But certainly, there is a niche for a site to be known as only for renting data. Beneath the search box was the text “Explore Rentals in Chicago, IL” and there were four separate boxes each with a unique address representing a different location, i.e., Presidential Towers, The Belden Stratford, and 5630 N Sheridan Rd.
