Is CamwhoresBay.com Safe?
I conducted a series of malware tests to find out if camwhoresbay.com is safe and legit. Here are the results:
I installed the Malwarebytes Browser Guard on my Edge browser and was able to browse the site camwhoresbay.com without any issues.
To check this further I ran malware scans with Malwarebytes and Spybot on my computer after browsing the site camwhoresbay.com and they returned no malware detection. I also ran a scan with Microsoft Defender which was a full system-wide scan and no malware was found.
To confirm the site is clean, I checked the site camwhoresbay.com on the online malware scanner Sucuri and it returned with no major issues. You can see the same here: Sucuri scan for the site camwhoresbay.com.
No malware was found during the scan. The scan also didn’t find any defacements, injected spam, or internal server errors. However, the site is running an outdated version of PHP (PHP under 7.3.18) which may make it more vulnerable to hacks. This doesn’t mean that the site itself is malicious though; it means it may become compromised if it doesn’t update to a newer PHP version.
Some improvements could be made, namely fixing the missing security headers listed below:
Missing security header for ClickJacking Protection. Alternatively, you can use Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors ‘none’. Affected pages:
https://www.camwhoresbay.com/404javascript.js
https://www.camwhoresbay.com/404testpage4525d2fdcMissing security header to prevent Content Type sniffing.
Missing Strict-Transport-Security security header.
Missing Content-Security-Policy directive. We recommend to add the following CSP directives (you can use default-src if all values are the same): script-src, object-src, base-uri, frame-src
Leaked PHP version. Your site is displaying your PHP version in the HTTP headers. Please set expose_php = Off.
No website firewall was detected either which would help keep hackers out. However, all of these are minor issues and don’t change the overall grade of the scan.
Lastly, I ran a malware scan with VirusTotal on the domain camwhoresbay.com and 1 out of 88 security vendors has flagged the domain as malicious. You can see the same here: VirusTotal scan for the site camwhoresbay.com.
Given the low percentage of security vendors flagging the site, this is likely a false positive.
In conclusion, the site Camwhores Bay is not a scam site and it is not malicious. No malware was found during our scans and out of 95 security vendors, only 1 of them flagged the site as malicious which is likely a false positive.
