The Edge browser has been updated to version 96.0.1054.2. This update to the Dev channel was released on October 20, 2021.
Edge Dev 96.0.1054.2 addresses several minor usability issues. You can read about them below.
What Microsoft had to say regarding this update:
We don’t have a lot that is new this week, but we have addressed several issues including this page not showing up for Dev and Canary channels, on mobile we removed a sync dialog that should not have been appearing for users, added in support for showing the Downloads menu and button in windows that don’t normally have a toolbar, and enabled the ability to reset sync for more account types. Josh goes over these and more on our Insider forums, so be sure to click the Change Summary button below to read on!
The Edge browser will automatically update itself the next time you close the browser window. However, if your browser is open, you can head to Settings > Help and Feedback > About Microsoft Edge, and then the browser will automatically check for new updates and apply them.
