I spent most of my life ignoring ads. Ads were simply a time to get up and grab a bite to eat. As I got older my ignorance slowly began to fold, and my mind started absorbing what was happening here, and just how much money was in the game.

Then came being a young adult and falling in love with the web – in particular – websites.

When I jumped into the website game, I soon realized there was money in it, and the way to achieve revenue was through advertising and sponsors. I get views, and people want their ads to be displayed on my site. And for this, I will get paid. What a way to make money. It essentially allows people to do what they love while being paid.

Point being, now when new advertisements come out, I have a somewhat keen interest in them. And when they are Apple related I want to show them to you guys.

Today Apple brought out two new ads for their iPad range consisting of the regular iPad and the iPad mini. You can see both ads in full featured below. The first one is called “Alive” and the second “Together.” As the name suggests both have fairly different ideas and identities, however, are very similar in the way they have been made and their objectives.

The first advertisement, Alive, focusses more on education and information that can be obtained from browsing on an iPad. It then moves on to after hour activities and showing how it can also be used to research more fun and playful things.

As I mentioned earlier, both commercials you can tell have been made at the same time, by the same people. They have the same music running through them and have been developed with very similar techniques, but the content is very different.

Together is the second commercial and manages to do an enough of a good job of showing what can be achieved on the iPad with a friend on the other end of it.

Update: The Apple iPad Mini ‘Alive’ And ‘Together’ TV advertisements that were previously available to watch on YouTube are no longer available. It looks like Apple has taken them down for good.
