The .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 11 have been updated to version KB5007296. This .NET Framework update was released on November 9, 2021.
Microsoft hasn’t provided any release notes for Windows 11 KB5007296. What we do know however is that people are installing it without any issues in general.
Some users were hoping for fixes to roll out for previous Windows 11 builds and were disappointed to only see this .NET update, so Microsoft is probably working on another update that will arrive for Windows 11 soon.
Another reader has also pointed out that .NET 6 is already out for developers, so we are likely coming toward the end of these builds for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 that we have known for so long.
