DESCRIPTION
When I analyzed stockx.com, it was clear that the brand had a strong following: many people were mentioning it online, it had hundreds of thousands of followers, and they were active followers who used and believed in the brand. The next thing I noticed was the high prices for items on the homepage. After some browsing, it seemed to me that stockx.com stocked a lot of rare items and that is one of the attractions of the domain and what drives the prices up. For instance, I noticed rare t-shirts that far exceeded the prices I would usually pay, which looked more to me like a collectible than anything I would realistically wear. I also found rare Kanye West Yeezy shoes on sale for thousands of dollars etc. The shopping experience on the single post pages was very good: above the fold were the item’s pictures, the current price, and the option for me to bid on the item; below the fold were related products, and the product details. I recommend having the product details above the related products. It’s good to have the related products as they can help decrease the bounce rate, but they aren’t more important than the information directly related to the item above the fold. Having things in the right order will increase the time on site which is also an important metric.
