DESCRIPTION
The homepage of porngem.com showed video thumbnails in a section labeled as videos being watched now. There were 16 of these thumbnails in the section and it took up all the space above the fold, plus an extra row below the fold. The next section on the page was labeled new porn videos. There were 60 thumbnails in this section and they went all the way to the end of the homepage. Beneath them was the navigation and the footer. When I clicked on a thumbnail on the homepage, it opened the single post page where I could play the video directly. The videos had watermarks on them from other domains such as nsafuck.com. Some of the videos would even have ads after they started playing and the ad would have a domain name drawn on the model’s body. The video player was high quality: there was no lag and no ads bothered me when I played the videos either. It seemed to be that the site was running on a high-quality server and that the code on the site was well done. I was so pleased with the video player compared to other sites at the time that I instantly judged it as most likely a reliable porn site. I then hovered over the menus and noticed some good features such as the pornstars section having thumbnails that automatically popped up of some of the most popular pornstars. I thought the pornstar’s menu could have been easier understood: after viewing the six models on thumbnails that automatically popped up, it wasn’t obvious how I would view the rest of them, though I did eventually notice a link to the left side of the flyout that said most viewed, top rated, etc, and after checking twice, I could see it was directly related to the pornstars. I don’t think the average person would have understood that those links were strictly related to the pornstar section though.
