PornBurst (pornburst.com/pornburst.xxx) is a porn tube site.
ALTERNATIVES
Not enough data.
DESCRIPTION
When I analyzed pornburst.com, it had video thumbnails on the homepage that were internal links to single post pages with the videos on them. Thus, I classify pornburst.com as a porn tube. The web design was original for the PornBurst brand. The videos were original and often were watermarked with domains that I hadn’t visited before (e.g. localcamfinder.com). Though it seemed like a smaller brand than any of the leading porn tubes, I was impressed with how quickly the web pages loaded. The video player was also very responsive. However, after pausing the video, I had to click on the Resume button to play the video again or the X to remove the ad overlay. Once I had done it once, I could pause and resume by clicking anywhere on the video player. I recommend always making the entire video player clickable, even for the first click. Otherwise, I can imagine some users getting confused.
HISTORY
As of December 2023, pornburst.com has < 5,000 monthly views (2.3 million Dec 2022), according to Similar Web. The Wayback Machine estimates that pornburst.com was founded on December 23, 2014. It didn’t take long for the Wayback Machine to start crawling pornburst.xxx frequently. Its two most crawled years to date were 2015 and 2016. The declining crawl rate since 2017 suggests its traffic has dropped since 2016. Its crawl rate has remained relatively steady since 2017 which suggests it has been getting similar amounts of traffic since then.
Is pornburst.com Safe?
I analyzed pornburst.com for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam. Here are the results:
I checked pornburst.com on Sucuri, and it returned with malware detected.
Sucuri says pornburst.com is a critical security risk because it detected malware three seperate times, all related to spam SEO porn keywords.
Hackers have broken into the pornburst.com WordPress site and inserted their own spammy links that sometimes redirect to other domains such as https://www.pornburst.xxx. pornburst.com and pornburst.xxx appear to be mirror sites, so it’s possible the spammy links were inserted by the same people who own both domains. Either way, we recommend updating the current PHP version (PHP 7.1.33) to at least PHP under 7.4.6 to prevent future attacks.
Sucuri also says the site pornburst.com is running an outdated PHP version (PHP under 7.4.6).
I then ran a parasite scan with Unmask Parasites on pornburst.com, and it is clean.
I also checked pornburst.com on VirusTotal, and it is clean; however, it does have a very low community score.
In conclusion, with an index score of 1.8, we graded pornburst.com as suspicious. Though Sucuri says it’s hacked and now has spammy links, no other security vendor has flagged it as malicious or suspicious. However, it does have a negative community score, which might be related to the spammy content. OVERALL GRADE: Suspicious.
