The first thing I noticed about melonstube.com was that it listed categories as the thumbnail titles which is usually what I find with a porn search engine and not a tube site. So I clicked through to the videos to see where the single post pages loaded. They did load on other domains, so melonstube.com is what I would call a search engine rather than a tube site. Apart from that, I didn’t have many complaints. The images used on the thumbnails were found within the category landing pages and usually close to the top. The pictures used in the category thumbnails were of recently added videos, so my guess is melonstube.com updates these thumbnails regularly which is very good. There were plenty of appealing thumbnails on the homepage which should result in a good click-through rate. The category landing pages showed the networks the videos originated (and where you would land if you clicked on them). Perhaps most impressive was the menu. I could browse by the latest videos, most popular videos, by pornstar, or by the networks melonstube.com chooses to show. Each one of these lists takes considerable work to create.

MelonsTube has been the best search engine for breast-related content over the last few years. However, recently many of the videos you click on are short clips of 30-40 seconds in length that are essentially advertisements for paid content such as Clips4Sale. The rise in these short clips linked to premium content suggests to me that these are affiliate links. Is MelonsTube getting too cozy with its search traffic?
