Some pictures return errors. Other pictures will load fine but are loaded via a third-party domain such as pixhost.to. This often is a tactic to avoid having to host the images on a site's own servers to reduce expenses; it's not related to being malicious. I find many of the images on this site are very large files due to the quality of the image, so not surprised a third party is hosting them. I've never had a virus on this site.
