Owners of the Sony Xperia M will have a new Android 4.1.2 official firmware rolling out over the air that has the build number of 15.1.C.1.17 attached to it. This will arrive straight into the settings of the device for owners. Some people may experience it not turning up, in which case it has been advised to change the customization number and then see if that helps. No user should worry though, because these roll out take time to eventually find all users. If you haven’t received yours in a week or two, then it is time to start performing the procedure.
If the Xperia M doesn’t sound familiar, that’s because it was only released last month by Sony. It is an entry-level phone for the tech giants, which is also another why it’s small stature in the public’s eyes.
This update has started arriving at places across Europe, starting with Germany, and then followed by Asia. It is expected to be a worldwide release by the time is finished.
If you are from other areas of the globe and you did receive yours, please leave a comment and let us know where you are to help out the other owners.
The Xperia M is renowned for being good value for money. Even though it is entry-level, it has the usual sleek design Sony is known for, as well as some good specs, including a Qualcomm MSM8227 Snapdragon.
