Android have decided to do the rounds and update the Galaxy tab 2 10.1 P5100 today and hook it up with the latest 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This update has been given the build number of XXDMH1.

This one in particular is currently hitting the folks over in France. It has been rolling out for a few days now, which means that the direct file has been made available to download manually for all of those of you who are interested. Alternatively, you can wait for the update to appear in your devices settings panel, or you can get it done via Samsung KEIS.

As with all official firmwares, they roll out to different devices gradually. This means that it may come to you today, or it may take several weeks if you decide to just wait for it to come to your Tabs settings panel.

Novice users will need to follow a guide to install the file. If you haven’t done this before, don’t just dive in because it’s easy to get wrong and it may cause damage to your device. Those of you familiar with the process of installing firmwares, however, should have no trouble giving it a go as it follows the same standard procedure.
