After updating to the earlier version of Jelly Bean for so long there is now finally an Android 4.3 in the works and you can flash it to your Galaxy S4 now by following this method.

This guide is risky purely because the lack of test driving so far. You should steer clear unless you are willing to take the significant risk, especially if you are new to this kind of thing. Most people owning a Galaxy S4 aren’t in these circumstances, but it’s there for the taking shall you wish.

The update is known as rather fickle in its current form, so there is no real rush in doing this unless you are in it for the kicks. For those who are planning on checking it out, you can expect to find a few UI differences compared to that of the 4.2 older version, as well as a different camera interface to play around with.

Unlike many of the others before it where we just comment on how smooth it is this one actually does have some super cool new features that are well worth checking out before you install it.

Display settings is where the fun starts this time around. In here you have a new option that lets you select reading mode. This is similar to a Samsung TV if you have one where you can select the economy mode. It will smartly adjust the screen brightness to the surroundings so that it’s nice on your eyes. If it’s a dark room, then the screen will automatically do darker so it doesn’t dry your eyes out. The opposite effect will happen in a light room. Now the screen will be more difficult to see so what will happen is that the screen will go light helping you out from any glare that may also creep in.

You’ll find that Samsung Wallet is added to this in the applications. Right now it doesn’t do much good because it’s just the pre-release firmware we are flashing here, but if you were to get the real deal then you can use it. It still isn’t the full go-ahead mode because many shops still aren’t really adjusting to using the Wallet idea and there’s nothing much that Android can do about it other than wait it out and see if it gets better. It’s a great idea and there’s no reason it won’t be successful as soon as the world wakes up and starts bringing out compatible things for it.
