The future for YouTube is very bright. Today Google announced several new features that are coming to the most popular video hosting website on the planet. Soon it will be all about the YouTube creator Studio; sounds effects included in the audio library, sixty frames per second, fan funding, subtitles added by the fans, creator credits, information cards, new playlist features and more. None of that is coming just yet, however, and the word is that the YouTube update namely 5.7.41 is only for minor fixes.

As you all know, the Google I/O was held during the week, and part of what made the event so great was the release of the next big Android OS called Android L that’s coming our way. Now we don’t know if they will give it a proper name or just keep it as a letter, but the new operating system means that applications need to update so that they are compatible. It’s all to do with what new features come inside the next installment of OS and how they match up with the app here.

That’s all we have to go on because they didn’t give us an official changelog or any log at all for that matter. If you do notice any new features, please leave a comment and tell the readers about it, so they know what to expect.

Earlier in April we saw improved video and Mix automatic playlists for music videos arrive as the next big thing. Just last month we heard about YouTube starting a new mobile app system where creators get a new revenue section.

Download the latest YouTube for Android 5.7.41 file. There’s a minimum Android version requirement that varies for each device. The rule of thumb is that Android 2.3 gingerbread should see you over the line safely.
