The WiFi model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 can now be added to the list of Note’s that have received the Android 4.2.2 update. This update started rolling out either via OTA or Samsung KEIS for the tablets.

Sources were saying that this possibly was already in its release stages last week and had managed to sneak out to a selected few tablets. However, for the most part, users were not reporting that as being true. Now, though, we can confirm that there is no question an update happening as we speak, which most likely starting kicking off late last night to a lot of devices.

If you are living inside of the United States and own one of these, open up your settings if you haven’t already because there’s a good chance the update is there and waiting to be installed. For those unlucky in the present time, it is coming quicker than the usual long week waiting period. It could potentially end up over the next few days at worst.

The alternative option you have is to connect the tablet to KEIS and go from there.

Once loaded, users can expect to see changes to the emails, contacts and planner layout in among other UI alterations. It is a mimic of the update the LTE version managed to already receive last month in September.

The 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software update is made famous for its app download notification changes, security enhancements with ADB, Quick Settings enhancements, wireless charging and low battery sound adaptions, gallery app animation and a longer vibration for notifications.
