It wasn’t easy for me to understand what stubhub.com’s mission was when I looked at the homepage. It had event thumbnails on the homepage that I could click. Only after clicking on the thumbnails could I see any sign of a ticket being for sale. That would be fine for people who already know what they find on stubhub.com. However, I recommend making it clearer what stubhub.com does on the homepage or showing tickets available directly on the homepage without users having to click if you want to maximize user engagement because new users won’t understand what they’re meant to be doing on this homepage the way it is. Thankfully the name gave hints as to what I could expect to find, but you shouldn’t rely on a name. The domain name is only one of many signals that should be obvious what a site is and does.
