DESCRIPTION
The homepage of pornhits.com was a series of video thumbnails. Though there were many of these thumbnails, the site still felt very lightweight and the GIFs instantly played quickly when the mouse hovered over a thumbnail. At the top of the page above the thumbnails was a title that said pornhits.com had free full-length porn movies. The thumbnails showed the length of the films and they were indeed full-length movies. The single post pages with the videos featured on them were equally as impressive: the videos loaded quickly and the video player felt lightweight and developed well. Beneath the video player were information regarding the video including the porn stars featured in the videos, the porn site the video originated, the username of the person who added the video, and the porn video’s categories. You may be surprised how many porn tube sites don’t list these basic details. Some of the largest porn tubes do list them but I preferred the details being listed all in one place such as what pornhits.com did.

As of July 2023, the site pornhits.com has an estimated 8.6 million monthly views. Pornhits.com was founded on August 20, 2000. The Internet Archive has saved the domain pornhits.com 445 times between August 20, 2000, and August 22, 2023. Though first founded in the year 2000, it reviewed relatively few saves per month until the second half of 2020. It could be that it has had a single owner that entire time and they had a significant traffic boost from mid-2020 through to today. The domain pornhits.com did go through stretches where it wasn’t saved by the Wayback Machine at all, such as most of 2004 and nearly all of 2016, and for the first quarter of 2017. It could be that pornhits.com was offline during this time.
