What Is PornHits?

PornHits (pornhits.com) is a porn tube site. As of July 2023, the site pornhits.com has an estimated 8.6 million monthly views, according to SimilarWeb. The Wayback Machine estimates pornhits.com was founded on August 20, 2000. The Internet Archive has saved the domain pornhits.com 445 times between August 20, 2000, and August 22, 2023. Though first founded in the year 2000, it reviewed relatively few saves per month until the second half of 2020. It could be that it has had a single owner that entire time and they had a significant traffic boost from mid-2020 through to today. The domain pornhits.com did go through stretches where it wasn’t saved by the Wayback Machine at all, such as most of 2004 and nearly all of 2016, and for the first quarter of 2017. It could be that pornhits.com was offline during this time.

Sucuri says the site pornhits.com is a low security risk, though site issues were detected, namely 403 Forbidden erros on the following URLs:

Some hardening improvements can be made:

  • Missing security header for ClickJacking Protection. Alternatively, you can use Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors ‘none’.
  • Missing security header to prevent Content Type sniffing.
  • Missing Strict-Transport-Security security header.
  • Missing Content-Security-Policy directive. We recommend to add the following CSP directives (you can use default-src if all values are the same): script-src, object-src, base-uri, frame-src
  • Default server banners displayed. Your site is displaying your web server default banners.
  • Leaked PHP version. Your site is displaying your PHP version in the HTTP headers. Please set expose_php = Off.

However, these hardening improvements don’t impact the Sucuri grade.
