DESCRIPTION
The ok.xxx homepage had thumbnails closely together with little metadata on and around them. Beneath the thumbnails were sections for the best channels and porn labels with new videos. I liked the section that showed the best channels in particular. From an English standpoint, “best” can be viewed as vague and not a great word, but for the general audience, they understand the best means recommended or popular in this regard which is fine in my opinion. As long as it results in people finding it attractive and useful, the wording is fine. And I thought this section stood out as worth clicking, especially for the users who didn’t find any thumbnails that appealed to them during their time of visit to the homepage. The new videos section was also a good one that I would imagine gets users’ attention and attracts more clicks and time on site which is also good. When I opened the labels with the new videos section, it opened the videos on single post pages still on the same domain (ok.xxx). I assume these links were still networked links even though they were opening on the same domain otherwise why else would you show videos from other networks? Do they think there is an SEO benefit to showing networked videos on the same domain? There could be. But I would assume most networked links want the traffic going directly to their domain to increase the chances of them clicking around the new website and getting to know it which will increase the chances of them bookmarking it and coming back to it by themselves.
