What Is handy.com, and Is It Safe?

Handy (handy.com) is a house cleaning and handyperson services site.

DESCRIPTION

The homepage of handy.com looked like a blog above the fold with press releases and how-to tutorials. The style of the homepage wasn’t a traditional blog format; it had a static page with the equivalent of sticky thumbnails for certain topics. There were numerous titled sections on the homepage: The Handy Home, Book Services Through Handy, Tips, How-to’s, and DIY, Community, Handy for Pros, Handy Life, Press, Cleaning Tips, How-to’s, and DIY, and Home Project Tips, How-to’s, and DIY with each section having a link to view more posts within the category. When I clicked on the handyman tasks thumbnails, there would be a single post page with the chance to book a handyman for that particular task. For instance, when I clicked on the TV mounting page, I could select a drop-box regarding how many TVs I needed to be mounted, what my zip code was, my email, and the date and time I wanted it done, and then I could click a button to get a price for the job.

HISTORY

As of December 2023, handy.com has 506.7K monthly views. Handy.com is excluded from the Wayback Machine.

In 2024, handy.com ran Nginx 1.25.3, Amazon AWS, and its IP address was 44.213.176.112.

Is handy.com Safe?

Here, I analyzed handy.com for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam:

I checked handy.com on Sucuri, and it returned as a low security risk.

Sucuri says handy.com is a low security risk; however, it returned a 403 Forbidden status on the URL https://www.handy.com/help.

In conclusion, Sucuri says handy.com is a low security risk; however, it returned a 403 Forbidden status on the URL https://www.handy.com/help. Unmask Parasites says handy.com is suspicious. VirusTotal and Sucuri say handy.com isn’t malicious or blacklisted. OVERALL GRADE: Relatively Safe.
