DESCRIPTION
When I started to scroll on the homepage, an overlay quickly prevented me from doing so. The overlay wanted me to choose what I would be using Canva for. The choices were the following: large company, teacher, nonprofit, student, personal, and small business. I clicked on “personal” followed by “start my free trial.” I started the free trial to try to use the functionality of the site. I typed “basketball” into the search box and it asked me what I designed today. Canva then returned with numerous basketball templates that I could use as the background for a poster that I wanted to create. Interestingly, there was a template that included my favorite basketball player, Tracy McGrady. It does look slightly odd given that I don’t see any other NBA players of his caliber, of which, if others were to judge, there are plenty. As I scrolled down through many templates, I could see there were templates for different tasks related to basketball. 6/16/2024
