AT&T is releasing a sweet deal for subscribers who want in on the latest LG G3 smartphone. If you pre-orders yours today you can have it for as little as $199. While orders are officially taken today, the new flagship handset for the Life’s Good company will not officially be up for grabs until the 11th of July. In essence there’s no reason not to get excited now because that is only a few days away. AT&T are leading the way with this date. Its main rival Verizon is releasing it on the 17th of this month, and Sprint and T-mobile versions are coming out a day earlier on the 16th of July according to unofficial reports at this time.

AT&T is obviously a phone carrier operating inside of the USA, and while that normally has its perks, this time around it was the Koreans who was offered this handset only several days after it was revealed to the world at the launch. The US side has had no choice but to wait until now. It leaves it feeling slightly aged compared to what the folks over in the States are used to, but at least it offers ample opportunity to check out how good it is and if it really is the right device for you.

LG G3

While not normally being a huge LG smartphone fan the G3 won my heart over when it become the leader of the pack for the revolutionary Quad HD display that we had heard other companies such as Samsung and HTC rumors much before any talk of the LG Electronics Inc. company coming out with their own version. Of course, there were other options out there already by the time this goes on sale and the market will only catch up even more-so within the next few months. Nonetheless, it’s still getting extra brownie points for doing it first. In terms of practicality and bang for your buck those reasons shouldn’t influence the decision at all and it’s definitely worth checking out other handsets before choosing or even taking a good look into rumors of more handsets like the Galaxy F that is allegedly coming.

In addition to everything I just mentioned there are some great reasons why to buy this smartphone. LG has their own G watch powered by the new Android-Wear product line and the smartwatch works with the new G3. Regardless of what the competition is managing to do with displays to catch up, they will still behind when it comes to this type of smartwatch connectivity. We know the Galaxy Gear 2 is out, but the Moto 360 is still behind and the Apple iWatch is nowhere to be seen until presumably we see it launch along the iPhone 6 later.

If you want the G Watch from AT&T it will set you back $229. It is ready for orders along with the G3 as we speak.

The G3 comes with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box and weighs 149 grams. The physical display is 5.5-inches, the screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels, the pixel density is 538 ppi and it comes with IPS LCD.

The hardware starts with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AC system chip, Quad core, 2500 MHz, Krait 400 processor, 3072 MB RAM system memory and 32 GB of built-in internal storage space. If that isn’t enough for you there is also an extra 128 Gb’s up for grabs after you buy one of the microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC memory card options that slots into the back of the phone.
