The PlayStation 4 was released today when Sony took center stage at their convention in New York only a few moments ago. Accompanying the release of the PlayStation 4 was the dual shock 4 controllers; one that’s meant to be a real game changer.
The press release is still going and just what exactly the PlayStation 4 looks like is unclear. There have been so many different concepts, and fakes appear on the web over the last few days it will be interesting to see which comes closest in appearance. Once the PlayStation 4 is put on the show, we will post the images up as soon as we can, as well as that of the new dual shock 4 controllers.
What we can confirm, however, is that internally this is an excellent piece of machinery. One that is set to rival that of a conventional PC inside in what has been dubbed a “supercharged PC architecture” from Sony.
We can also show off the Sony PlayStation dual shock 4 controllers which is featured in the image below, looking much like it’s counterpart.
The event release did come somewhat of a shock, but it’s no surprise the PlayStation 4 was released ahead of the new Xbox. It had seemed PlayStation were leading this race all along, with the latest news of Xbox attempting to play catch up on what they thought was a console lacking compared to its competitors.
