The Opera browser has been updated to version 82.0.4218.0. This update to the Dev channel was released on October 27, 2021.
Opera Dev 82.0.4218.0 comes with a couple of new features, namely an automatic video pop-out for YouTube and snapshot memes.
The automatic video pop-out feature has been immensely popular on Opera to date, and subsequently, Opera has decided to extend support to YouTube videos. This means the videos playing on YouTube will automatically pop out when opening new tab pages in the browser.
Snapshot memes are what Opera is calling the new meme generator tool. When you open the Snapshot tool, you’ll see a new Doggo icon which is the icon for generating these new memes.
To update Opera, open the browser and click on the Opera icon in the top left corner and then click on the Update and Recovery link. The Opera browser will then automatically check for updates. Note that Opera will also update itself in the background when you have the browser closed, so you may find it already updated by the next time you open the browser.
