DESCRIPTION
It wasn’t immediately obvious to me what to do on the homepage. I could see the menu had pre-selected “home” as the page I was currently on and there was a search box with “Oceania” selected as my region. I decided to try typing in the name of a game into the search box. I typed League of Legends and selected one of the Summoner Profiles that showed up. It was labeled a test account with limited information on it. I clicked “champions” from the menu and it brought up a list of profiles associated with the site. The top five leading profiles were Shyvana, Leona B, Garen, Cassiopeia, and Galio. Next to their profile names were potential web development tasks they had worked on such as Build for Middle Patch 14.14 and Build for Middle Patch 14.14. My assessment of op.gg was that real people were most likely finding it a useful site but that it was also a niche site that I had a limited understanding of. I don’t expect op.gg to be malicious.
