Apart from the features listed above, people will also find the ability to pick up apps, photos and songs where you left off, a new Quick Settings, multiple device compatibility, UHD 4K video playback support,  high quality video playback on Android TV, Android Smart Lock, updates notifications screen, a do not disturb feature and still more. The last three main features worth noting include the new Flappy Bird style Easter Egg, tap and Go for NFC payments and a smoother ROM in comparison to KitKat software updates.

Samsung released this update both ways. You can apply the OTA by your phone itself using OTA update or use Samsung Kies to perform this update for you. Although it takes some time to get this update notification on your phone directly, but you can check manually that your phone is eligible for this update or not. To do this unlock your phone, go to settings > About phone > Software update > tap on “Check for Software update”, this will check if your phone will be able to get updates. You can also do that by using Samsung Kies, just download and install Samsung Kies to your PC, launch it and connect your phone to PC using USB cable. Kies will notify you about any update. If you had rooted your phone already then you won’t be able to update your Note 3 to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

This update has a build number N900XXUEBOB2 and has a size of 800 to 900 MB so this is a suggestion that you update your phone to this version using Kies only, but if you want to do with your phone itself use WiFi connection for that. We recommend taking a backup of the data before installing the update. Moreover, you should download the new OTA using the WiFi connection and not the mobile data plan to avoid unwanted data charges.

If you are an Indian Galaxy note 3 user and reading this then you will straight away check for this update and before going just like and share this article with your friends.
