Samsung is now releasing its smart phones one after another, but Samsung is not leaving its pre released smart phones behind. If you already has root access or installed any custom ROM on your phone, then you will not be able to update your phone to this firmware. But if you are on stock firmware still you didn’t get any notification about this update then you can follow these mentioned steps to update your phone manually.

  • Unlock your phone, go to settings > About Phone > System Updates > tap on “Check for updates”. This will check if any updates are available for your phone or not. Make sure you are connected to a network as this process needs internet access. And this is recommended that you should be connected to a WiFi network during this update as this update worth 800 to 900 MB and can charge you a lot if you are on cellular data.
  • This update is only available via OTA update not via Samsung Kies so you have to do it by your phone itself.
