Phone Arena has a new leak sent in that shows smaller bezels leaving a much thinner border around the edges connecting with the display on what is being dubbed the Samsung Galaxy F and not the Galaxy S5 this time. There is a great divide between what this handset that we know is coming is going to get named. The original talk was that Sammy were bringing out a newer S5 prime to boast an 805 Snapdragon SoC and Qud HD display, but many refused to believe that the CEO would backstab those that just bought the previous S5 in such a manner. From there, we started getting a new device name labelled the Galaxy F, and we still are going back and forth with it today.

The Samsung Galaxy F pictures show a more modern and futuristic design around the display screen, but other than that it resembles a very similar shape to the original S5 we saw releasing early this year on the 27th of March. The first announcement came on the 24th of February 2014.

Samsung Galaxy F

I love the colorful wallpaper showing a nice lime green and mixing with blue and pink. It looks so delicious I could eat it but remember that is obviously what the picture is designed to do. It wants to make the older handset look as dull as possible and the newer one ten times better. The other photos show the smartphone turned off, and the back looks to me like it has a brushed metal finish similar to what the LG G3 did. We know that the body is aluminium and not plastic like the previous model, and that is a big part of what makes this a more premium model combined with features in the hardware I will list in a moment.

We anticipate the Galaxy F to have a 5.3-inch display, screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a pixel density of 554ppi and the usual multi-touch touch screen combined with light sensor and proximity sensor. The camera will keep it’s 16 megapixels, with LED flash, optical image stabilization, Geo tagging face detection and Autofocus. It also has a front-facing 2 megapixel shooter perfect for the selfies.

We expect this handset to be groundbreaking and bring out the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 APQ8084 system chip to go along with the Quad core, 2700 MHz, Krait 450 processor and Adreno 420 graphics processor. That is the most impressive stats under the hood I’ve seen, and it will be amazing for all those who own it. Just remember that what one company does the others will soon follow, and we also expect that to happen here yet again. If you aren’t a Sammy fan then the good news is that you can smile and imagine what is coming your way in the near future when it eventually spreads. It also sports 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage built-in. That’s only going to give the end user around 25 GB of free space to store data with, but no doubt Sammy will include MicroSD card options that essentially give people an endless quantity of storage space as long as they have the money to keep buying the memory cards.

It will have the essential internet browsing features such as Google+ social media, Picasa and YouTube to watch all the best videos uploaded to the web. It has Bluetooth 4.0, WIFi, computer syncing, tethering, OTA sync; it is a USB Mass Storage device, and it will come with USB charging.

Heaps of people can’t wait for this handset to come out, and I’m one of them. I was always skeptical over the original knowing very well that they planned on realizing something else in quick succession. There’s no doubt this is the handset to own for the rest of this continuum of days left in 2014 and judging by the specs it will do nicely as the daily drive for 24 months of you want to subsidize and go on a plan.
