Only hours after we first glanced over at new iPhone 6 mock-ups that reminded me more of a potential budget version, we have seen new LG G3 leaks that are allegedly real images, which are black and white in the same order as the leaked images from the iPhone 6. The result? An almost identical look with buttons in different locations. There is also a different shaped shell, but the colors of a white back plate and sides to go with a black front is the same. It is hard to see exactly from these leaked shots, but there looks like a small gray lining between the other two shades on this G3.
Our friends from other Android blogs have not been shy in giving all of their knowledge when it comes to this handset. Due to heavy competition I have stayed away from it for the most part. One of the blogs in particular, has revealed that the release date confirmed as May 27. That means in less than a month from now we will see this smartphone in people’s hands. It is this year’s flagship for the Life’s Goo company out of South Korea and it will see events happen across the world at the same time, including cities such as London, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Istanbul and Seoul.
The company has issued the motto “to be simple is to be Great” so what we see here certainly does fit the description. In my iPhone post, I mentioned that it was likely fake because it resembles something Apple would have created last year and it did not carry that premium feel. Even though this looks the same with colors, it does have a different shape and overall different look to it. I would back this being real and I like the idea of unique yet simple that LG is bringing to the table.
Anyway, if you have had enough of looking at the pictures and would like to learn more about the G3, it has a quad-core Snapdragon 801 system chip with a Quad core, 2300 MHz, Krait 400 processor. It will come with the latest Android OS 4.4.2 Kitkat and have a physical screen size of 5.5 inches. Arguably, the most impressive feature, is the 1440×2560 pixels QHD display that will force the hand of the other smartphone manufacturers to bring out something to rival it. We know the rumors of Samsung having a Quad HD display in the works have been around for a long time, but they didn’t release it with the Galaxy S5.
You can view the budget iPhone 6 mockup I have published earlier today here. What do you think? Can you see the same resemblance as me? Is there a connection here that we do not know about or is it pure coincidence?
