So stay tuned and read all part of this article carefully.

This XXU1BOA7 is official Android 5.0 Lollipop built ROM made and provided by Samsung only for Samsung Galaxy S5. If your device is rooted and you had any custom ROM installed on your device then you will never get OTA update notification and if you want to install this XXU1BOA7 firmware on your Galaxy S5 then you have to perform a manual update I’m going to tell you about after the jump.

Android 5.0 Lollipop

If you had your phone rooted and a custom recovery installed or you had bricked your device by any means then this tutorial will come in handy. After installing this firmware your phone’s root access will gone but you can root it later. This firmware is an official release so you should know that you are not going to perform any kind of illegal operation with your phone. Your phone will become as new and your phone’s warranty will be unaltered after this process. This process is not risky or messy, using this process is very easy and chances of bricking your device using this process is very low.

This process will make your phone as new means this process wipes all of your data stored in internal memory so better make backup of your data before performing this update on your Galaxy S3. You can sync all of your contacts to Google account by going to contacts, open menu then tap on “merge with Google” and confirm the step, now all of your contacts are on your Google account. You can back up your important apps using Titanium app available on Google Play Store (this app needs root access). Also backup your media files like music, videos and camera clicks to your PC or any other external drive (you can also move them to SD card cause his process won’t alter the data stored in SD card of your Galaxy S5).

The following manual update works only if you have Windows-based PC, you can’t perform this update with other PC like mac or Linux as we don’t have any Odin version which can run on their operating system. Also, disable any kind of security software on your PC like antivirus or anti malware cause they can interfere between the process and if this happens your phone might get bricked. So make sure you disable them before going further.

Now your phone also should be ready for this update process, so ready it by enabling USB debugging on it by going to settings > About device > tap o build number 7 times rapidly this will give you developer rights and “Developer Options” menu will get added on settings. Now go to settings then Developer Options and check the USB debugging option. Make sure your phone should have at least 75% battery left on it. If it doesn’t make sure you charge the device. If your phone power off due to lack of battery charge during this process then your phone will get bricked definitely.

This firmware files and update process is strictly for Samsung Galaxy S5 G900H, so do not try update process or files available here on any other android device or Samsung variant as it will brick your device.

Now you are all set to install this update on your Samsung Galaxy S5 so go further and read the tutorial (don’t skip any step).
