The feed.chunk app virus is related to the feed.chunckapp.com browser hijacker. Its goal is to either change your Safari homepage, new tab page, or search engine. Most browser hijackers force you to the webpages they want you to use because they profit from it in one way or another. It is hard to tell exactly how one browser hijacker profits compared to another. Sometimes they’re owned by the same people and other times through a network of several people money is handed from one to another.

Most browser hijackers are annoying but harmless. However, you should always remove them as soon as you notice them just in case they display adware which can also be untrustworthy since no authoritative advertising network would ever allow such a thing.
