During the same year that we saw the Galaxy Prevail land on Boost Mobile we are also expecting the Motorola Moto G to go to the same carrier. Granted, there is only a matter of days before the new year comes into play, so it’s a bit of a gamble to say it will come out then, but we are confident with the source that it’s a done deal already.
Evleaks is the site that had this news passed on to them. The picture that they were given shows the Moto G on Boost mobile with a date of February 5. This has people talking that it could be deliberately dated that way so that when people do see it, they will know that’s the date of the release almost like giving out a cryptic clue.
Boost are not the biggest name in the mobile business, but they do cover a lot of the big manufacturers. They just finished bringing out the iPhone 5S and 5C fashionably late, and they were also hot on the Galaxy SIII.
Apart from that there hasn’t been a great deal of news for them lately. The Moto G is also said as coming to Verizon and Sprint. Sprint is more of a calculated guess because if it’s going to Verizon, Sprint would be a similar carrier. On top of that, they also own Boost which has them the ideal fit. As of today, though, the only locked in name is Verizon.
The Moto G is the cheaper version of the Moto X that Google and Motorola teamed up to make — even though Motorola are saying the Mountain View company had nothing to do with the designing of it at all, and they only helped out financially. After they said that publicly we wouldn’t argue with that being true.
I also said the other day that this phone would now stay out of the news for the foreseeable future. It turns out that only lasted a matter of days, and I was completely wrong. It’s a good reminder that anything can happen at any time, and it doesn’t have to be software updates that get people talking.
We were expecting less talk of this mobile and more of the international DVX, but it seems that didn’t happen. Because of the advanced American coverage most blogs have, it’s hard to know if the DVX Smartphone even exists now.
This handset has Gorilla Glass set at 4.5 inches. It has a screen resolution of 720 x 1280. It also features a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. For its price this is a really good phone. Anything with the name Snapdragon dominates the Android market as the best chip to own as hardware inside your handset. There are different versions of it though that you will need to look out for. As the devices get cheaper you can also expect these processors to get fewer numbers, making it less powerful.
