The month of February will see a brand new channel dedicated to wrestling television shows only debuting on the Apple TV. It marks that first progress we have seen this year for the Apple TV. 2014 was being heralded as the year for change and the time we would start seeing the likes of Apple and Google make big progress on the TV sector. A wrestling channel doesn’t exactly fit that bill, but hopefully it’s just the beginning of something special coming our way.

The WWE also struck a deal with Apple for the iPhone and the iPad where it will have its own app for both devices. The application won’t vary at all, and it will air all the same things regardless of which device you choose to be viewing it from. It will just be a matter of downloading the correct application for the right device.

There are some prerequisites to get it working once it does become available. You can see them here:

In order to experience WWE Network on an Apple TV, you must have a second generation or later (black) Apple TV and be a WWE Network subscriber. Once WWE Network is available, you will be able to launch the WWE Network app directly from your Apple TV. Let us know if you have further questions! Thank you.

The app becomes available from the official online store on the 2.24.2014.

To help get you in the mood, you can check out the Rockpockalypse game that was released during 2013. The game launched for Android and iOS and should keep you occupied until the channel comes.
