Android Kit Kat is looking set to be released in late October, sources are saying. The next resurrection will be Kit Kat 4.4 and not 5.0 like previously thought.

All that work we just did attempt to cover a leak today which showed off the new Kit Kat seems like it could have been for nothing because of a fake leak rumors surfacing. If that does turn out to be the case, it still became a lead onto this next story so it might not have been for nothing after all.

That fact that we jumped all over some possible leaks without even checking their authenticity should tell you one thing — Google have been extremely tight lipped about anything to do with their new software for Android. They did release the name, but there has been very little of anything else to go along with it. That is disappointing considering the news we have now of it is real and possibly on a device as soon as a month from now.

If you are an avid Facebook user, you may have seen a recommended page pop up on your wall suggesting to like a nestle page.As the story goes, a Nestle employee could well have released confidential information about when the new operating system would be launching. This case was never proved true or false, however, now with this news it seems it was true after all and he most likely did leak information he wasn’t meant to.

Moreover, although not officially confirmed by Google, the rumor mill has the LG Nexus 5 as the device to keep an eye on since its release, as it may be the very first device to carry the new Kit Kat on board when it is released.

What we do know is that it most likely will come on a brand new device — whether it be mobile or tablet– and the next big launch coming around the same time is the Nexus 5. This isn’t likely to be confirmed by anyone until it actually happens, so if you are in the hunt for a new tablet, perhaps hold off for the release of this one because there is every chance it turns out being a real beauty.
