The original standard Galaxy Nexus will not be getting upgraded to the newly announced Android 4.4 a Google spokesman had confirmed for the live event today. Google is still standing by their previous statement which involved one of the best features about the new KitKat was the fact that you can expect better performance to becoming the way of the older devices. Many Android owners mistook that for the old phone in their hands was going to be getting a neat little upgrade. The reality now is, for a bunch of those people, their devices will stop being supported all together. The popular Galaxy Nexus being one of those.
There’s also a few other mobiles that have been put on the list to go along with the now distinct FroYo firmware. You can read more on that from our earlier posts today. For more information specifically on the Nexus and why it lost its mojo you can check out the Google listings.
