DESCRIPTION
The homepage of thisav.com had a “recommended for you” section above the fold. It was notable that only four video thumbnails were visible by default in this section and I could click a button to reveal more. I liked that they limited it to four because I hadn’t visited thisav.com before and it would seem spammy if they recommended too many videos to me. By limiting it to four, I don’t see it as spammy because I understand that it’s a feature they want to honestly implement for returning visitors and it would be asking too much to have it removed for first-time visitors. There were numerous other titled sections down the page. Each section was for a different category. It’s original for thisav.com to have put the homepage into sections based on categories. You would assume this idea would be widely implemented but it has been rare for me to review a similar site that does it to date. There was also a recently updated section on the homepage. It wasn’t clear to me how the video or single post page with the video was recently updated. However, the details beneath the videos in this section showed a recent release date (i.e., Release date: 2024-09-22), so I assume that it’s a new release section for videos. All video thumbnails had video covers rather than pictures taken from the videos, which is standard in the Japanese Adult Video niche. There was a slight lag in getting the videos to fast forward quickly, but in general, the video player and site were high quality. It was notable that I didn’t have any issues related to ads.

ThisAV has full-length Japanese adult movies. They're very good quality/high definition/ultra high definition videos. The video titles are in English. There is a good assortment of related videos beneath the one you're watching. Often the video thumbnails have Japanese writing on them that I can't read, but the titles are always in English which is good enough. The site looks very professional; the thumbnails are ideal in size to be able to read the text (if you can) and get a good idea of what models are featured in the film. Everything loads quickly. I'd be surprised if this site was malicious.
