DESCRIPTION

Above the fold was a small to medium-sized sign-up button. Next to it was a large text that read: “Invest in your future. Grow your portfolio in a more fair and open financial system. Start trading crypto with just $10.” To the right of the text was an animated GIF demonstrating how I could trade cryptocurrency on kraken.com. Below the fold were statistics regarding how many people use kraken.com (10 million), the total number of countries supported (190), and the quarterly trading volume (207 billion). Further down the page were the icons of many cryptocurrencies available on kraken.com, and they would move to the side to reveal more of them on the screen. Beneath the animated icons was a button to buy crypto. Beneath this section was a button to get started with Kraken and text regarding why you would use Kraken (simplicity, education, services). Beneath this was a section showing how much you can earn in rewards on your cryptocurrency (beneath each crypto icon would be a percentage of APR, and the percentages often differed between the cryptocurrencies).

Is kraken.com Safe?

Here, I analyzed kraken.com for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam:

I checked kraken.com on Sucuri, and it returned as a medium security risk.

kraken.com Sucuri results

Sucuri says kraken.com is a medium security risk because it returned a 403 Forbidden status on the URL http://kraken.com/.

I then ran a parasite scan with Unmask Parasites on kraken.com, and it is suspicious.

Unmask Parasites cites 1 suspicious inline script:

(function(){window._cf_chl_opt={cvId: '3',cZone: "www.kraken.com",cType: 'managed',cNounce: '87438',cRay: '84f15ff6ad4622...

I also checked kraken.com on VirusTotal, and it is clean.

kraken.com VirusTotal results

URLVoid says kraken.com passed all blocklist engines.

In conclusion, we graded kraken.com as no higher than relatively safe because of the suspicious inline script, and it forbade the Sucuri scan by returning a 403 Forbidden status. OVERALL GRADE: Relatively Safe.

I Prefer To Use Jesse Powell And Kraken

Kraken is one of the major cryptocurrency brokers/exchanges along with Coincase, Binance, and Crypto.com. I like Kranken's founder the most, so I use Kraken.
