Site Navigation/Overview
When I analyzed kick.com, there was an example of a live stream available above the fold. It looked like a lady setting up her disks for a DJ set. It then automatically slid to the second example stream, this time of a gamer playing a first-person shooter game. I noticed that there were three example streams on the slider that it would automatically scroll through, and each of them was of a streamer doing something different. I opened the DJ’s stream, and in her room, I could hear the music she was creating as the webcam bounced up and down along with her music. Judging by the chat, she was quite a popular DJ. The default stream size was large but still allowed plenty of space for internal links and features to help increase the time on site metric. The chat was live and interactive, which is one of the features to help increase time on the site. To the left of the stream was a Recommended section which were internal links to other streamers who were popular at the time. 11/22/2024

Safety, Security, and Trust Report
Here, I analyzed kick.com for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam:
I checked kick.com on Sucuri, and it returned as a medium security risk.
Sucuri says its scan failed on http://kick.com/ due to a 403 Forbidden error which means that the owner of kick.com is choosing to block scans from running.
I then ran a parasite scan with Unmask Parasites on kick.com, and it is suspicious.
Unmask Parasites cites 1 suspicious inline script:
(function(){window._cf_chl_opt={cvId: '3',cZone: "kick.com",cType: 'managed',cRay: '8e681aa23c9be233',cH: 'kCC2RjpHUjtS_U...
I also checked kick.com on VirusTotal, and it is clean.
Further, kick.com passed all blocklist engines on URLVoid.
In conclusion, we graded kick.com as relatively safe. I think kick.com is choosing to block Sucuri from scanning. Unmask Parasites also cites a suspicious script that has a 403 Forbidden status on it also. That said, I know kick.com quite well and I doubt it’s a malicious site. OVERALL GRADE: Relatively Safe.

Kick.com is a website where streamers can earn money streaming content similar to Twitch. I first heard about Kick when I was watching a Hikaru Nakamura stream on YouTube, and he was talking about how he signed a deal with Kick. At the time, I thought he was referring to an old chat platform called Kik (kik.com), but the "Kick" he meant was Kick.com.
