Sony is rolling out a new update to the Update Center for the Walkman application. The new build number is 8.5.A.2.7. The update is coming for a new material design layout to better suit the Android 5.0 Lollipop which is the latest version of Android. The Lollipop software update is now rolling out to many devices around the world, and pretty soon it will be on most of the Xperia range Sony promised.
Android 5.0 Lollipop comes with a bevy of features which make it the software update to have over the older KitKat. Inside you will find the ability to pick up tasks where you left off like listening to songs, multiple device compatibility, material design, material design inside the app drawer, tap and go for NFC payments and Android RunTime overtaking the old Dalvik system. In addition to those features you’ll find great camera updates, Google security patches for improved security, Android Beam smart notification updates and a smoother ROM over the last version.
