The Galaxy Stratosphere is one of those devices which was caught in between two different ROMs. Chalk it down to bad timing, or what you will, but many were hoping it was coming with Jelly Bean. That was not that case, however, as the entry-level Smartphone was shipped with Ice Cream Sandwich. Granted, it could have been worse; the update it was shipped over the pond with was at least the latest in the ICS family tree.
Now, though, people who previously ‘lucked’ out can enjoy some Jelly Bean 4.1 after this new upgrade has rolled out to devices as of yesterday. The over the air signals can be expected to continue rolling out over the coming weeks, so get ready for yours if you haven’t received it yet.
You can check out the list of goodies that come along with it in the picture. The main one’s that stand out are the data usage monitor and internet browser reset issues if you are into that kind of thing. On the software side of things there seems to be a fair bit of emphasis on the lock screen security. Can never have too much of that!
