In accordance with the official Verizon website, the carrier version of the HTC Droid DNA can be expecting an upgrade, which would include the Sense 5 along with it.
Sense 5 is the newest version of the “smart dial” featured on many Android phones. Its main purpose is to allow users to press a button which will then bring up the list of contacts using a letter. It has begun to make its way around to a few of the older devices of late.
Sense 5 also offers users to see all of their news, social media streams and other information via a feature called, BlinkFeed. Blinking is becoming phenomenally popular with the younger generation, and lets people, browse their devices very efficiently to catch up on everything from all areas that are so often used on a smart phone.
This new Sense will be coming via a big update heading the way of the Droid DNA, however, it is not yet known exactly when. There is also no word of what the new upgrade will bring other than it will be a new version of Jelly Bean.
There have been rumors of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean being headed the way of the Droid DNA for a while now. That doesn’t mean that it will be coming along with this, though, as it would most likely end up being 4.1.2 or 4.2.1 for this particular upgrade.
